From Kolkata, West Bengal, India, Kausik completed his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins Science Writing Program. He is currently a Senior Research Specialist at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine focusing on infectious fungal diseases, immunology, and immunodiagnostics. Kausik is extremely garrulous in the right company, and a complete teetotaler.
