From Wheeling, Il., Jennifer graduated with a B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University and is now pursuing an M.A. in Science Writing from Johns Hopkins Univerisity. She is an editorial assistant on the open-access journal at the American Medical Association, while continuing to write about issues affecting science and society, such as the opioid epidemic, pandemics, urbanization, and climate change. Her words have appeared on Wired, Popular Science, and Sierra Magazine. Jennifer likes to travel in her downtime, and she fosters cats and dogs. Like most science writers, she's planning to adopt a kitten soon.
