From Mesa, Ariz., Katrina obtained her B.S. in Physics from Duke University and is working towards her Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Chicago, researching electron neutrino cross-sections with the MicroBooNE collaboration at Fermilab. Katrina is a 2021 AAAS Mass Media Fellow at WIRED Magazine, and the Co-founder of the #IAm Project, an annual $1000 scholarship supporting women of color in STEM who graduate from Westwood High School in Mesa.
