From Zionsville, Ind., Rose is a Wells Scholar at Indiana University Bloomington pursuing a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Spanish. While not performing research on the synthesis, modification, and effects of sugars in biological systems, she serves a number of science communication and advocacy positions. Her words have appeared on Teen Vogue and Conversations in Science at IU. In high school, Rose was one of 100 people worldwide to achieve a perfect score in her Advanced Placement Spanish Language and Culture Exam.
