Michiel Robberecht is a writer, award-winning filmmaker, and photographer. Moving between documentary cinema, photography, and journalism, he develops visually striking stories with in-depth human narratives. Over the past years, he has built extensive experience across East Africa, where he has lived and worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Kenya.
 His photography and written work have been published internationally, including in Libération, Knack Magazine, and Nataal Media, and his images have been exhibited at venues such as the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris and the Kigali Convention Centre.
